Innovative animal bedding firm reaping rewards from regional Eco scheme

THE North West Eco-Innovation programme, funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and the Northwest European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) continues to grow from strength to strength.

Cheshire firm Drymatter have already signed up for the programme and are very impressed with the results. In collaboration with Preston-based Envirosystems they have developed a new process to convert recycled paper waste into an innovative animal bedding product, boasting significant animal health and environmental benefits.

As it moves in to its second year, Darren Hill, Eco-Innovation Programme Manager says that "The programme is a great opportunity for businesses in the North West to grow by integrating Eco-Innovation into their business strategies.
